பழக்கம் இந்த ஊர் மக்களுக்கு, அது என்னவென்றால் இங்கு ஒரு மேரி மாத மற்றும் ஒரு அம்மன் கோயில் உள்ளது, ஒவ்வ

ரு வருடமும் இந்த இரண்டு கோயில் திருவிழாக்களும் ஒரே நாளில் நடக்கிறது, இதில் பெருமைப்பட வேண்டிய விஷயம்

Acive Directory user accounts locked out frequently

Yesterday I faced a problem with active directory, all users account locked out frequently, So I just thought to share this issue with you, Please find the details of that issue and how we rectified.

Problem

All users account locked out frequently, if I unlock also again and again it was locked out frequently.

Solution for this issue

1) First I downloaded one unlock.exe file, it’s a very good tool for unlock user account for locked accounts

2) we can download this file from http://www.joeware.net/freetools/tools/unlock/index.htm

3) Once downloaded this file put it into separate folder and in the same folder we have to create a batch file with a small script

4) Here is the way how to create the batch file with script

5) Open a notepad and type this script

cls

@ECHO OFF

unlock brigadedc *

unlock brigadeadc *

6) instead of giving brigadedc and brigadeadc you should give your DC and ADC name

7) Save this script as unlock.bat in the same folder which one we downloaded and put it into separate folder

8) Now we need to run this batch file for unlock the users account automatically, so that users will not face the problem with their work.

9) For that we need to schedule this task, go to control panel and select scheduled task

10) Add a new scheduled task and click next and click browse and select the unlock.bat file which one we created and saved the scripts

11) Perform this task on daily and give the user name and password with domain admin privileged account name

12 Select the tick mark for advanced settings, In advanced scheduled options we have to select Repeat task and run this task Every 1 min, So that this will run in every 1 minutes and will unlock all account for this one minitue period, so that user will not face any locked out problems.

13) Now account locked out we rectified, but we should solve the issue why all accounts are locked frequently

14) First we need to enable the audit policy (both success and failure policy)

15) Go to Domain controller policy and Local policy ----Audit policy---Define these all policies success and failure, So that we can see the logon attempt failure audits

16) Once we done this..Go to Event Viewer in DC, Select security and see the audit success and failure, there must be some failure audits

17) Find out the failure audits and track the ip address and host name of the machine which one is giving failure audit logon attempts failure

18) I got 3 failure audit for logon attempt failure in security event, I tracked that 3 machines and put it into virus scan, But unfortunately our Symantec AV found one virus but unable to quarantine or delete this virus

19) So I taken backup of these 3 machine and formatted this 3 machines

20) Now the entire virus gone and the users account came normally (not locked out), Remove the scheduled task, now its working fine.

Note : The virus name is W32 conflicker.exe, Later I realize that the virus is generating from Symantec only, the reason is our Symantec AV product was expired 3 months back and now we are using Symantec 11 trial version, for purchasing the new license Symantec may create the virus and sending to client machines!!!!

Microsoft is giving a new updates for preventing these kind of Malwares, Please find the link and please suggest our colleagues to install on all our client machines

But its not removing any virus, only it will prevent from virus.

File Server 2003 Unable to access shared folder cant access

Today we are going see a new issue with windows 2003 File server, 

Most of the windows administrator not aware of this serious and simple file server issue, Some times your windows file server will be up but users cant access their shared folder.

In file server also it will show their folder but the sharing should not be show and users can not access the shared folder.

Here is the solution for that..

1) Open the windows 2003 file server

2) Select the shared folder options in file server

3) If the sharing is missed on all folders...

4) Minimize this File Server

5) Go to start--Run--In run... type

6) services.msc

7) Here one services window will come and you have to select in the right side services

8) Select the service called Server

9) This server service should be stop state, you have to start this service or give restart this service and give automatic start option

10) The reason is the netlogon and server serices was not started thats why the reason your users unable to access the File server.

Once you done these process definetely your user can access the file server.

Active Directory

Many times you heared about Active Directory, In your company also your company administrator use this word "Active Directory"

What is exactly?"Active Directory"

An small example...in your home or office u heared about "Yellow Pages" on yellow pages they will give index, what is the use of index is u can easily find out any contacts,phone numbers,addresses easily.

like that only Active Directory works, will see some explanation about Active Directory

Active Directory is a Directory Service, and its a multi master enabled database, searchable,scalabe, secure database, we can have groups,users,printers,domain controllers,shared folders, can create OU (Organizational Units) its one of the great feauture in active directory, its main purpose is will seperate administrative task between group of administrator and find an objects (such as users,groups ) easier in Active Directory

And once you created a user account on active directory,users can login into domain and administrator can manage the resourses.

where we can create users?

Once u created domain controller (using dcpromo), u can see the administrative tools - on this u can find out Active Directory Users and computers from here we can create users,groups,shared folders, publishing printers,  and creating new domain level, OU level Group ploicies.

DVD Player Wrong region error

I have purchased a new philips dvd player recently (model no.DVP 3256 with usb port)

and on sunday i plan to see a nice movie, i selected some English movies from seventymm.com, and while play the dvd its giving wrong region error. unable to play the DVD

I decided to call the customer care of philips and said the above problem, but they said u need to carry the player into their service centre which one is 25km from my home, its very difficult to go there, and finally i decided to play some technical stuff on the player, after several attempts i done this. 

find the tips as follows...

Solution:

1) remove the dvd into your tray
2) Switch off / on the dvd player
3) from remote Bring up the System Menu
4) Navigate to the Preferences page.
5) Press the following combination of keys on your remote in this order to bring up the secret menu showing the Region Code.
135566.
6) Use the arrow keys on the remote control to change the Region. To make it region free, set the Region code to “0″ (zero).

7) press exit on the remote control and switch on / off the player

See the magic...All DVD can play now.
